We have received funding through the Canada Summer Jobs Program and are excited to bring on a motivated student to help us shape the future of our online and in-store experience.
Position Overview: We are looking for an entrepreneurial and tech-savvy E-commerce Project Lead to support the development and execution of our e-commerce platforms, social media strategy, and in-store merchandising initiatives. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic small business setting and gain hands-on experience in multiple facets of retail and digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain and update website content, including daily specials Support and enhance online grocery platform (WooCommerce on WordPress) Update WooCommerce product listings to reflect current in-store offerings Assist in the clean-up and optimization of our Point of Sale (POS) system (Restaurant Manager) Improve in-store merchandising (e.g., end-caps, window displays, signage) Photograph products for use in social media and on the website Create and schedule social media content using Loomly (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok) Assist with Uber Menu additions and related photography Monitor and engage with customer feedback on TripAdvisor and Yelp Participate in content brainstorming and creation for TikTok Contribute to emerging projects related to e-commerce and digital marketing
Candidate Qualifications: Must meet Canada Summer Jobs Program eligibility: Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee status Legally entitled to work in Canada Enrolled in high school or a post-secondary education program at the start of employment Pursuing or interested in studies related to E-business, ICT, business, computer science, media design, or a related field Strong computer and digital media skills Experience with website design, WooCommerce, and WordPress is an asset Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities Comfortable working collaboratively with staff, management, and third-party vendors Strong written and verbal communication skills Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to pitch in where needed Able to lift up to 15 kg and work in a fast-paced small business environment
