Perennial CUT LEAF CONEFLOWER-A Fuss Free Pollinator Magnet

CUT LEAF CONEFLOWER (Rudbeckia laciniata) or Green Headed Coneflower is a low maintenance perennial (grows back each year) which needs sun, grows 6 - 8 feet tall (can be cut back in late May if you wish it to be 4’ tall when it blooms) and has bright yellow flowers with large, protruding green centres in mid summer. It spreads by underground stems. It, like all coneflowers, attracts pollinators. The pic of the flower was taken in my garden in the summer. The other pics are of the plants for sale. Cost is $5 per plant or 3 plants for $12. I am downsizing my private perennial garden. With your help the Cut Leaf Coneflowers are dug (my tools), with a generous amount of soil, as you choose them and placed in a plastic grocery bag, as the roots are less disturbed when put into a bag rather than a pot, as often people bring pots that are too small. The hole is then filled with my soil. Please bring plastic grocery bags, if you have some. No delivery possible; Must pick up Warden/Sheppard area of Scarborough.
