She has had many litters, was used by a backyard breeder and rescued from there. I am not a registered breeder, please disregard as would not let me change on ad.

Bio:

Hi, I'm Mayo! Yes, like the condiment — soft, smooth, and a little underrated. I’m a 6-year-old golden retriever with a heart full of love and a belly that’s always ready for a good rub.

I know I’m not a tiny puppy anymore, but don’t let that fool you — I still get the zoomies, roll onto my back, and wiggle my butt like it’s the grand finale of a dance show. I’ve just lived a little, learned a lot, and now I’m looking for a place to finally be me.

I spent the early years of my life as a breeder dog, but those days are behind me now. I’m learning what it means to be a pup again — chasing balls, chewing sticks (okay, and a few bones), and soaking up every second of freedom and sunshine. I love lounging outside and will happily bask in the sun like a queen on her throne.

People? I adore them. Young, old, tall, small — I’ll lap up any love you give. I’m gentle, mild-mannered, and just happy to be around you. Dogs? I get along fine with the ones in my foster home, but I’m more of a solo act when it comes to playtime. Male dogs? I’ll need a little time to warm up — slow intros, please — but I’m working on it.

There's a cat in my current home. We coexist, though sometimes I bark when she gets too wild or startles me. I mean well, promise — I’m just still figuring some things out.

I may be independent, but I do need a forever family who will be patient, gentle, and understanding as I keep discovering what it means to be loved just for being me. I’ve given so much of myself to others — now I’m hoping someone will give their heart to me.
