The ideal candidate for this position has a clean driving record, a professional attitude and the ability to handle difficult jobs. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to breakdowns on an emergency basis, including flat tires, dead batteries and malfunctions with keyless entry. In addition, this position requires regular trips to deliver vehicles to customers and occasionally assisting them with loading and unloading vehicles. The successful candidate must also have strong communication skills as this job can sometimes require taking verbal direction from customers.
Responsibilities:
Drive a tow truck
Be able to move and position the truck, hook and unhook the vehicle, and understand different towing techniques.
Be able to provide assistance to customers to help resolve their transportation problems.
Maintain the truck and its parts.
Meet the qualification standards for the commercial driver's license.
