This 1957 Chevrolet Pickup is a stunning blend of classic style and modern performance, boasting an array of recent upgrades that elevate it to the next level. Powered by a new GM Ram Jet Crate V8, this truck features cast heads, a roller cam, and a forged crank and pistons, delivering robust performance and reliability. Topped with a Ram Jet aluminum intake and a 75mm throttle body, the engine is housed in a well-dressed bay, featuring chrome valve covers for a polished look.
The powertrain is complemented by a GM 700R4 automatic transmission, rebuilt with a new shift kit and high stall converter for improved driving dynamics. The GM 10-bolt rear axle has been rebuilt with new 3:73 gears and paired with a custom driveshaft for enhanced performance. The engine is fed by a ceramic-coated header system, mated to high-performance mufflers and a 2.5 exhaust pipe, producing a deep, throaty exhaust note.
Cooling is managed by a new stock radiator, an electric fan, and a cast water pump, with a billet catch can to keep things running smoothly. The electrical system has been refreshed with a new wiring harness, GM HEI distributor, GM ECU, and a chrome alternator, starter, and battery for a reliable start every time.
Inside, this truck is just as impressive. The SKY black leather and suede bucket seats offer modern comfort while retaining classic style. The original dash has been repainted and updated with new chrome knobs, a gauge bezel, and a heater box. A new stock gauge cluster with a speedometer and tachometer keeps you informed, while a chrome tilt steering column and Grant billet and black steering wheel offer a premium feel. The interior also features a new black carpet, billet step plates, and billet floor pedals, along with new painted door panels, kick panels, and chrome handles. The custom leather center console with a B&M shifter adds a touch of style and practicality.
The exterior of the truck is finished in Jet Black, with custom ribbed inner front fenders and a ribbed firewall painted in silver, adding to the truck's sleek, modern appeal. New chrome bumpers, a billet grille, tail light bezels, and shaved emblems give it a clean, aggressive look. The oak wood bed floor with stainless steel straps adds a touch of craftsmanship, while new 15 steel smoothie wheels with BF Goodrich TA radial tires provide a classic touch with a modern stance.
For visibility, the truck is equipped with new front headlights, front turn signals, and rear LED tail lights, ensuring bright, efficient lighting all around. The new custom aluminum fuel tank, fuel lines, and electric fuel pump ensure reliable fueling, while new front disc and rear drum brakes, along with a new master cylinder, booster, and brake lines, provide confident stopping power.
The suspension has been fully upgraded with new tubular control arms, ball joints, coil springs, shocks, and rear leaf springs for a smooth and responsive ride. The donor frame has been fully restored with new mounts, crossmember, and support brackets to ensure a solid foundation for this show-stopping truck.
