Become a Certified Professional Responder Instructor

Length: 24–40 hours (Blended)
Cost: $475 - $980, pending on required courses
The Professional Responder Instructor Development Program prepares you to train and certify emergency responders in the following disciplines:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor – Deliver CPR, airway management, and cardiac emergency training for healthcare providers.
• First Responder (FR) Instructor – Teach emergency scene management, trauma care, and first responder skills.
• Advanced First Aid (AFA) Instructor – Equip students with the knowledge and skills for high-level first aid and medical emergencies.
• Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Instructor – Train individuals in advanced emergency medical response, patient assessment, and pre-hospital care.
Prerequisites:
• First Instructor Certification: Requires a participant-level certificate in the discipline you wish to teach. You must also complete a Skills Evaluation and Fundamentals of Instruction before enrolling, followed by a Teaching Experience (TE) session.
• Additional Instructor Certification: If you are adding an instructor certification, you only need to complete the Skills Evaluation, Discipline-Specific Training, and TE session.
