    Things you should know about buying or adopting a pet

    While pet sellers can be reputable individuals or breeders who treat their animals well, the ease of selling pets over the Internet also makes it attractive to careless, irresponsible breeders and scammers. To protect yourself, you must be careful and believe only what you see and not what you are told. It is highly recommended to arrange for an inspection of the home where the pets are bred. This allows you to check that the mother and other animals are living in suitable conditions, being well cared for, and are in good health.

    Maine Coons are a beloved breed, admired for their large build, gentle personalities, and striking appearance. Calico patterns are especially beautiful in this breed, and many people are drawn to their one-of-a-kind, colorful coats. This sweet girl is a true calico, and like most calicos, she is female. She was born and raised in our small, home-based cattery where we focus on giving each kitten plenty of individual attention and care. We’re grateful to have a calico mother in our program, which allows us to occasionally offer these rare kittens to families looking for a special companion. Since birth, this kitten has been gently handled and gradually introduced to the normal sounds and activities of everyday home life. She’s outgoing, affectionate, and enjoys interacting with people. She’s eating solid food, using the litter box without issue, and progressing beautifully in her development. She has already seen the vet for her first vaccinations, a routine checkup, deworming, and preventative flea treatment. Her new family will receive her health records for easy continuation of her care. We’re hoping to find a home where she’ll be loved, well cared for, and given the time and attention she deserves. While she would enjoy a home with other pets, she’s also content as the center of attention. If you have questions or would like to learn more about her, we’re happy to chat. Delivery is available—including to out-of-town locations—and in many cases, we’re able to offer it free of charge.
