Description: Top has a gold-brown finish which looks like oak wood. Interior back and bottom are in gold maple. Ogee fronts on top and bottom parts. Has horizontal bottom side metal straps to attach to neighboring bookcases. Red-brown oak exterior. Metal track and wheel gear door tracking (Patent stamped into metal: Jan 16, 1906). No drawer. Built by Macey c1910. All glass is wavy in appearance.
Has original Macey decals on inside backs of tiers / compartments: Macey 23-D; 3-D; 4-D
Dimensions: 59.5” H x 34.25” W x 12.5” D; interior effective heights: 8.5”, 10”, 10”, 12”
Condition: Very good vintage condition ( 8.0 / 10 ). Fully washed. Glass intact on all four doors. All doors work, with one which only goes in 1/3 of way, because top inside of one side is cracked, which can be repaired with gluing and clamping. Some water staining, scratches, finish loss, minor rust on side straps. Would be good to add 4 metal bottom pads to protect the base. Seven open screw holes on one side of one tier, which can be filled with . No separation of plies on the back boards.
