Mid Century Waste Paper Basket Paper Bin Oval Regency Card Game Depiction:

I am pretty sure this bin is wooden, although it may be leather. Both materials were used for these oval bins in that era.

There a wood grain litho glued on the outside (the final pic shows it wrapping over the rim). A painting reproduction litho has been applied over the wood grain litho.

The painting reproduction depicts a card game argument, and bears the artist’s signature in the lower left corner, but I haven’t been able to decipher it or identify the name of the painting. The card players appear to be upper class men of the Regency era.

The bin is approximately 9” long x 5-1/2” wide x 9-1/2” tall. It is structurally sound but has wear consistent with its use and age.

A rare piece to display amongst other country decor.
