A bird, likely a female cedar waxwing (Bombycilla cedrorum), sitting in a highbush cranberry (Viburnum trilobum) shrub, which is bearing red fruit, likely in the late summer.
Original water colour wall art by D. Filion or D. Filson, with D. Filion being more likely. Signed by the artist. Vintage painting c1950s. Purchased on the West Island of Montreal.
Professionally framed, with solid wood frame with glass and one layer of matting. Covered with glass. Braided wire and eye hook hanging hardware. Backing paper intact.
Dimensions: Outside edge of frame: 14” W x 17” H; Coloured part of print: 8.5” W x 11.5”
Condition: Excellent vintage condition (9/10). Backing paper had minor tears which were repaired by tape. Framer’s label has fallen off.
