2 PORCELAIN FIGURAL DUTCH SHOE MATCH HOLDERS with DUTCH BOY and GIRL seated on the toe of the shoes. Boy is smoking a pipe. Each Match holder has the same mold # 2420 indicating they were very llikely made in GERMANY. The HEEL of each shoe in bold black letters is TERREBONNE TOBACCO CO beneath a flag or ensign UNION JACK with GREEN MAPLE LEAF. The MATCHES were held in the open heel of the shoe. The match strike is the unglazed portion on the bottom of the shoe. Tiny flake on tip of girl's bonnet. Manufacturing flaw, a slight depression, shown in photo of back of girl's shoe. Each holder is 3 1/4 inches long and 3 1/2 inches tall.
