The 1953 Canadian Silver Dollar holds historical significance and is a sought-after coin among collectors. The obverse (front) of the coin features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, created by engravers Mary Gillick and Thomas Shingles. On the reverse (back), you’ll find a depiction of a voyageur and an Indigenous person paddling a canoe, designed by Emanuel Hahn. The coin has a reeded edge and a diameter of 36.00 mm with a thickness of 2.84 mm.
